Cocktail chic

In hospitality it pays to know your target market, and that's precisely what Vista at The Trafalgar hotel is demonstrating this Autumn/Winter.
The rooftop venue already attracts a style-conscious crowd, eager to see and be seen decked out in their finery; and for the third consecutive fashion season the bar has created a trio of trend-inspired cocktails to match the latest looks.
Not a case of style-over-substance, a lot of thought has clearly gone into creating the Sweet Golightly – a tribute to Hepburn-esque tailoring, in the form of a basil-infused Gin Mare Martini – the Gemstone Glory – a topaz Pommery Champagne, lychee liqueur and blue curaçao concoction, intended to embody jewel-bright catwalk hues – and a longer drink, Black Moth truffle vodka, Mozart Dark and a splash of absinthe is a bid to represent the fetishistic leanings of designers like McQueen.
The addition of three matching nail polishes from exclusive brand Temple Spa is yet another canny move to draw the fashionistas in, as is the official launch on 8 September, the date of Vogue's Fashion Night out and the drinks' continuing availability throughout London Fashion Week. Clever marketing, yes, but very refreshing to see a range of 'Fashion Cocktails' which stand up to the taste test.
The Taste the Trends range of cocktails are all priced at £14 and will be available at Vista from 8-30 September.
