Regular Imbibe contributors and founders of the really quite good dwink.com, Ben McFarland and Tom Sandham know a bit more than most about drink, in all its glorious forms. Selflessly, the duo have packed their cases and headed up across the border to Edinburgh Festival Fringe to impart their knowledge to the masses.

The show is called The Thinking Drinker's Guide to Alcohol and comes complete with six spirit samples to taste during the hour-long performance. The duo's manifesto: 'life is far too short to be drinking lousy booze' holds firm as the audience is led through the history of all manner of different drinks, whilst enjoying a lunchtime taster of each. Rumour has it they're rather funny too, so if you're an Edinburgh resident, or just up for the festival, The Thinking Drinker's Guide to Alcohol would be an undeniably pleasant way to kick off an afternoon's activities.
