Great food deserves great wine and vice versa, which is why we wholeheartedly approve of the concept behind chic new Knightsbridge eatery, Galoupet.

Owned by Provençal winery Château du Galoupet, wine is obviously at the heart of things. Each dish on the menu has a recommended pairing and there is an impressive array of Enomatics, allowing every wine on the list – including fine wines – to be available in 125ml, 175ml and 250ml measures.

The system has already proved a hit, with operations director Shaan Mahrotri saying 'I think it has been especially beneficial to those who want a small taste at lunch or to those who don’t really drink that much but enjoy matching food and wine. The chance to have a glass of something that is not normally available by the glass seems to have been very enticing to customers.'
