Love is in the air...

Clos Maggiore, the Covent Garden home of a 2,000 bin wine list and countless marriage proposals has had its status as London's most romantic restaurant confirmed by a survey of 8,000 consumers.
Harden's London Restaurant Guide 2012 sees Clos Maggiore knock La Poule au Pot into second place, praised by customers as being 'like an enchanted garden,' and offering 'unbeatable' service. The French eaterie was also lauded as offering the best ambience in the £50-£60 per-head category.
Owner Paul Corret said of the win, 'We're delighted to have been given the title of most romantic restaurant in London. It is a fantastic achievement for us and shows that we've really raised the bar, to finally claim the number one position after sixteen years. Marriage proposals are a common occurrence in the restaurant and I'm sure the number will only rise after this prestigious accolade'
