The history of hooch

It would be all but impossible to ignore the advent of London Cocktail Week (6-16 October) and the countless events and promotions it is bringing to the bars and restaurants of the English capital.
One of the most exciting pop-ups we've spotted is to be held at Harvey Nichols in Knightsbridge, in conjunction with Eclipse Cocktail Bars and Bacardi Brown-Forman Brands. There will be a specially devised menu of ten cocktails, each selected to represent a decade of the past century, from the 1910s to the present day. There will also be displays explaining the heritage of each drink throughout the Fifth Floor Terrace and Café, alongside vintage Bacardi memorabilia from the corresponding era. Fitting in perfectly with the seemingly eternal trend for historic cocktails, it's set to provide a plush haven in the midst of Cocktail Week madness.
