Biodynamics descend on London

Olivier Humbrecht

Next month London will host the largest dedicated biodynamic wine tasting in the UK.

The event, arranged by Biodyvin (or The Sydicat International des Vignerons en Culture Bio-dynamique, if you prefer), will feature over 40 producers from all over France, held on 10 November at the Royal Horticultural Halls from 10am-5pm.

Biodyvin president, Olivier Humbrecht (pictured), described the intentions behind the press and trade tasting, saying: 'We want to promote the concept of biodynamic farming to the UK sommeliers so they can pass it on to their customers.'

He added: 'We want to show that the wines are interesting and good and demonstrate that the people behind them aren't crazy - they aren't lunatics who dance naked under the full moon. They simply care about their soils, wines and customers.

Humbrecht will be hosting a masterclass on the day, 3-4:30pm, on the subject of 'Minerality in Biodynamic Wines'.

Visitors can register onlineto attend the tasting.
