A south-east London gym was the site of a hospitality industry punch up last week - to raise money for charity.
Former British and European welterweight champion Clinton McKenzie took on a tag team consisting of Galvin at Windows general manager (and TV celeb) Fred Sirieix and Hilton worldwide president for Europe, Simon Vincent. The fight saw Sirieix and Vincent alternate rounds against McKenzie at his gym.
The aim was to raise money for Galvin's Chance, a charity targeting 'at risk young people aged 18-24 not in education or employment', offering them apprenticeship and training for front-of-house work in hotels. The intention was to raise £5,000 for the charity, a goal that has nearly been reached.
After going the full ten rounds, the fight ended in a most gentlemanly fashion, with all three boxers being declared winners.
