Old casks, new drinks

Rémy Martin has announced the release of its latest expression, Rémy Martin Mature Cask Finish VSOP, exclusively in the European market.
The cognac has been created by cellar master Pierrette Trichet and deputy cellar master Baptiste Loiseau, with the aim of appealing to modern, fruit-driven tastes and bring new fans to the category. This element is achieved through maturing the eaux-de-vie in small (small, in order to increase the exchange between the cognac and the cellar air) Limousin casks, which are a minimum of 20 years old and imbue the spirit with notes of peach and apricot.
Recommended serves for Rémy Martin Mature Cask Finish VSOP extend beyond the typical choice of 'neat or rocks' to the classic Sidecar and the French Mojito. The expression will be launched into the on-trade, with a series of tasting events, hosted by brand ambassador Alexandre Quintin.
