From Pollen Street to Mexico

Gareth Evans, of London's Pollen Street Social, has earned himself a trip to Mexico to compete as the UK's representative in the Tahona Society Cocktail Competition in September.

Terroir Cocktail, Evans's very orange winning drink, pairs Olmeca Altos Blanco with sous-vide carrot juice, lemon juice, roast cumin syrup and coriander cress sprouts. The UK final, held at The Bon Vivant in Edinburgh, was a close one, with Evans only taking top spot by one point. Megan Demeulenaere, Bramble, finished second, with Daniel Waddy, Milk & Honey, in third.

The final draws 19 competitors from around the world, from the many countries in which the Tahona Society operates.
