Fast food and fizz
As the gourmet junk food oxymoron of a trend gathers pace, two industry heavyweights (who happen to be married) have entered the fray, offering up the combination of gourmet hotdogs and grower champagne.
Sandia Chang (most recently at Roganic) and husband James Knappett (ex-The Ledbury) are set to open Bubbledogs on Charlotte Street in the next couple of weeks, and it’s a place that’s taking its drinks rather seriously, with a stellar line-up of sparkling wines, a five-strong, constantly changing cocktail list and its own specially blended gin occupying pride of place on the back bar.
