Devil's cut

Maxxium UK has announced the launch of Jim Beam Devil's Cut, following the brand's success with its honey and cherry (Red Stag) flavoured bourbons.

Devil's cut is created using a technique which draws the liquid back out of the wood in the casks which naturally absorb it during ageing. The name is a play on 'angel's share', a term used to describe the bourbon/whisky/whiskey, which evaporates whilst it's in cask.

Once the fluid is extracted it is added to six-year-old Jim Beam to create Devil's cut, weighing in at 45% abv, and described as a 'deep, bold bourbon, both in taste and colour.'
