Antico's Alex Ciomartan proved on Tuesday that he knows his was around a corkscrew just as well as a Boston tin, taking top spot in the Enotria Wine Cocktails Competition.

Both of his drinks impressed the judges (including Peter Dorelli and Ryan Chetiyawardana), but it was his Jerry-Thomas-inspired upgrade of the Spritzer that sealed the deal. See below for the drink spec.

Ciomartan won himself a trip to Sicily to see Planeta’s vineyards and to explore the bar scene in Palermo.
