Maxxium UK will be hosting its Masters of the Famous Blend bartender engagement programme on 27 September in Bristol.

The event will will bring together The Famous Grouse's senior team, including master blender Kirsteen Campbell; master of wood Stuart MacPherson; global brand ambassador Lucy Whitehall and David Miles, master of mixology, from the Maxxium Mixxit team.

The event will look at how The Famous Grouse Whisky is made, introducing attendees to the full range. Each senior team member will focus on a different specialist topic, these will include:

  • Lucy Whitehall: Introducing the 'four fundamentals' of The Famous Grouse brand – foundation, finest, flavour and fusion. She will also run through the heritage of the brand.
  • Kirsteen Campbell: Explaining the art of blending and the ingredients that go into making a blend.
  • Stuart MacPherson: Covering flavour and talking through how wood policy has an impact on the flavour of the whisky.
  • David Miles: Discussing the versatility of blended whisky, and how to drive rate of sale through mixed drinks. He will also demonstrate a range of simple and complex serves.
