Mornington Peninsula Winemakers on Tour

Australia House, Strand, London, WC2B 4LA United Kingdom

In early September, a group of winemakers and winery owners from the Mornington Peninsula will land in the UK for a series of events. They’re over in London and the surrounding areas to showcase the latest releases from this exciting cool maritime region.

Situated on the southern coast of Australia and only one hour south of Melbourne, the Mornington Peninsula is surrounded by water on three sides. This cool climate, maritime region is influenced heavily by the cold waters of the Great Southern Ocean and prevailing cool southerly winds.

The wines are predominantly made from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, although some cool-climate styles of Shiraz and Pinot Gris are also produced.  With smaller, family-run wineries dominating the wine scene in this small region, the focus is on quality, character, elegance and longevity.

Don’t miss this trade tasting at Australia House in London, hosted by Wine Australia. Taste the wines and hear the stories from nine winemakers and winery owners while finding out the latest from the Mornington Peninsula.

Participating wineries and attending winemakers/winery owners include:

  • Crittenden Estate - Rollo Crittenden
  • Kooyong/Port Phillip Estate - Marco Gjergia
  • Moorooduc Estate - Kate McIntyre MW
  • Ocean Eight - Mike Aylward
  • Paringa Estate - Lindsay McCall
  • Polperro - Sam Coverdale
  • Stonier Wines - Will Byron
  • Ten Minutes by Tractor - Martin Spedding
  • Yabby Lake Vineyard - Tom Carson
