During the tasting itself, there will be two masterclasses hosted by Rebecca Gibb MW:

New Zealand Coming of Age

New Zealand is a young wine-producing country and its early success has been built on drink young, fruity styles. However, vines and winemakers are maturing and time is showing that the country’s wines have the components to age gracefully. This masterclass is by invitation only.

Pinot Noir from Valley Floor to Mountain Slope

A masterclass investigating the marked impact of site on New Zealand Pinot Noir.  This will provide an introduction to valley vs hillside Pinot Noir expressions.

In addition two self pour feature tables will showcase the growing diversity in New Zealand:

  • Unexpected New Zealand will highlight smaller plantings and unexpected blends that are being produced in New Zealand.
  • Rosé will focus on a growing trend, with more and more New Zealand producers making a wide range of wines in this style.
