The Whisky Exchange will be hosting its annual Whisky Show from 1 to 3 October, with an exclusive trade day on the Monday.
There will be more than 600 whiskies available to sample over the weekend, along with cocktails, mini-masterclasses and seminars. Food-pairing is also a highlight of the festival, with suppliers such as Paxton and Whitfield, Nairn Oatcakes, and Ibéricos de Huelva all making an appearance.
The trade day will offer opportunities to meet the people behind the brands, along with buyers, distributors, bartenders and industry writers.
Trade events will include a Four Roses masterclass with Brent Elliott, showcasing a selection of Four Roses single-barrel limited-edition vintages; as well as a talk from Kilchoman Distillery's founder Anthony Wills, discussing the successes and challenges of setting up a distillery. More events will be announced closer to the date.
The show runs 11:30am to 4:30pm, with the last pours at 4pm.
The Whisky Show trade day is free to attend, and registration can be done online. The deadline for registration is 23 September.
