Bar Team Leader Description Job Purpose To supervise team members at the Union Bank to consistently deliver an outstanding customer experience. To take responsibility to ensure that the pub operates effectively, efficiently and safely through managing standards and systems whilst running shift. To create a positive and fun environment, which is focused on maximising sales and profitability. Core Accountabilities Serve and present drinks and food to meet company specifications To effectively manage activities to support delivery of the pub sales targets, to achieve sustainable profitable growth To understand impact on all key performance indicators to achieve Balanced Scorecard targets, supporting with developing and implementing plans to improve where required Consistently deliver outstanding levels of service and ensure that the needs of each individual guest are met To implement the company and pub business plan To support team member performance by providing appropriate training and coaching, giving regular feedback and guidance Role model the Vision and Values to create a positive, inclusive, high performing culture Keep up to date with current promotions and new products in order to advise guests and make recommendations Manage rotas to ensure the labour budget is delivered and that customer service standards are met Ensure all stock management processes are followed, including delivery, storage, stock rotation and ordering, to maximise availability and minimise loss Protect and secure all company stock and property in order to minimise the risk of loss and ensure that all procedures are in place to meet company audit requirements Ensure all cash management routines are followed, including third party providers such as AWP and SWP machines, ATMs and cash collections Communicate effectively to all pub team members to ensure that they are kept up to date with all company information and initiatives to support them to deliver their role. Maintain pub standards to required company levels, including the correct implementation of company directives on merchandising, pricing and point of sale materials Implement, monitor and maintain all Licensing, Health and Safety and Food Safety regulations Support the opening and closing of the pub in line with company processes as required Complete all company training modules as require Work in accordance with the Craft Union Company handbook Adhere to all company policies and procedures, leading the team to ensure that they are consistently implemented and maintained throughout the Pub Requirements Experience of working in a predominantly drinks-led business Excellent communicator, with both team members and guests Organisational and planning skills Ability to adapt and deliver in a fast paced environment Experience of working effectively as part of a team Confidence, energy and a determination to succeed Passion for delivering outstanding guest service Benefits Wages and benefits to be discussed at interview stage.
