Our Global Learning and Capability team lead the development of learning solutions across Diageo that improves capability and drives performance for the business. The team has recently embarked on an exciting and ambitious transformation, launching a new learning strategy founded on the principle that enhances our employee learning experience and ensure our employees have the skills required to perform within their roles.
We're recruiting for a Capabilities Consultant that will be instrumental to lead and bring to life this transformation for our employees.

In this role you'll lead the development of innovative world class learning experiences which drive improved capability and performance for the business. It works with cross functional teams of designers, internal subject matter experts and suppliers through the end-to-end solution delivery process:
Defining learning outcomes
Developing and managing team the team development to share learning solutions
Defining and applying measurement to assure value and performance
This true consultancy role will work across our functions on priority projects - which may be market/function specific or global in nature. As part of this, you'll manage cross functional teams including internal subject matter experts and external vendors as required. Ensuring we are offering solution development work-streams to deliver solutions to learning priorities identified by our Capability Partners. As a Capability Consultant, you're accountable for decisions on learning outcomes, learning methodology, vendor selection, timelines, budget, resource requirements and success measures.
You'll define learning outcomes based on diagnosis and strategy input to drive capability build for the learner and business which will improve performance when applied back in role.
Align Learning Experience Outcomes to business requirements and defined need of specific population segments.
Determine optimal learning and/or assessment strategy, methodology and design. Specify resources, team, budget requirements. Define milestones and deliverables, governance structure and measurement and evaluation criteria. Identifies and mobilizes cross-functional teams including SMEs, Design Specialists and, as required, external Vendor expertise (Academics, specialist suppliers, consultants) to manages end to end program.
We'd love thought leadership - you'll advise on best practise in Learning. Leveraging internal and external networks to keep up-to-date with current and next-generation learning technologies/tools, methodologies and principles. Bringing the best practise from external benchmarks into Diageo, reframing for our business and context and builds sponsorship and alignment from stakeholders for new approaches.
You'll utilise our resource ambitions to drive insights and identify opportunities for performance improvement through capability. Ensuring capability is an accelerant for transformation programs - leveraging external and internal best practise solutions so that learning is happening at the "speed of change".
Who are you?
We'd love to hear from you if you're experienced in global or regional capabilities - especially if there's an exciting story for you to tell in modernising the way talent is developed!
You'll need to be experienced in true business partnering and shaping brilliant learning through leadership. We'd especially like to see this coupled with a set of skills that include psychology, behavioural sciences, neuroscience, and data science.
Talent development through adult learning principles, learning design and training will be something that you've established in your career.

Experienced in leading multiple complex cross functional teams to build, deploy and measure effectiveness of capability.
