Collaborate with the Commercial Team to produce robust demand plans based on internal and external data, while identifying key forecast risks and opportunities to support business strategy and growth targets.
Lead the Australia business monthly Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process, and providing analysis and insight obtained from working closely with Commercial, Marketing and Finance Teams.
Successfully manage the demand of all innovation, renovation and obsolete products, ensuring obsolescence is minimised and launches are met.
2IC to Supply Chain Manager, ensuring team management and key responsibilities are covered in times of absence.
Build collaborative relationships with the Commercial Team to provide support and drive process excellence by preparing for and leading key demand review meetings in line with S&OP processes
Prepare for and lead the Australia business S&OP process, including running of monthly Cross Functional review meeting
Prepare executive summary reports for demand review highlighting all risks and opportunities
Create and maintain the rolling 24 month demand forecast using appropriate statistical modelling, by analysing sales plans, historical sales data, brand changes, new product development and obsolete products
Lead regular forecast review meetings with the Commercial Team and thoroughly review performance to increase forecast accuracy
Evaluate the outcome of promotions; oversee anticipated volume determined by the Commercial Team and challenge if necessary, monitor customer buy-in against forecast to highlight short term variances to forecast
Accountable for reporting and influencing forecast accuracy and bias within the demand plan at part and customer level, including reporting results on a regular basis
Understand and analyse trends and seasonal profiles to challenge and influence the Commercial Team, particularly where there is evidence that the demand plan may require revision
Effectively gather and interpret data available through sales history, customer portals, scan data, rate of sale, meeting with customers and integration with Commercial Team, resulting in a robust sales and consequently, replenishment forecast
Ensure consistent supply by working closely with the Supply Planner and Customer Service Team, identifying and resolving any risk to stock availability
Manage allocated products versus sales budget and sales forecast, from import to delivery to customer, ensuring regular communication to the Commercial Team and Customer Service Team
Build a collaborative relationship with key customers to jointly forecast promotional periods, review and manage seasonal events and drive performance of WGS brand
Skills and Qualifications:
Comprehensive demand planning knowledge and an understanding of end to end supply chain processes and procedures gained in an FMCG or similar environment
Extensive working knowledge of modern forecasting techniques and packages including S&OP practices
Demonstrable ability to analyse and interpret data across multiple systems
Good working knowledge of all Microsoft applications and ERP systems
Good initiative with the ability to work alone or part of a wider team
Knowledge and experience of continuous improvement techniques
Proven track record of managing master data within a global FMCG environment
Educated to degree level or equivalent, preferably in a mathematical or science subject
