This role is in place to work with Plan COEs and Supply Directors to drive adherence to and governance of codified Excellence In Supply Chain Planning framework. As part of that, the role will shape the plan strategy for the years to come, including evolution of planning technology to increase level of automation and planning precision.
The role will also be part of the Digital Supply Chain Transformation Program and as part of that, shape the journey on automation and analytics strategy on the end to end supply chain.
This will continue to be a complex change project with global scope which will lead the way in ensuring that Diageo's planning operations are best set up to support the performance ambition. In particular it will underpin our ambition to build and constantly extend our competitive advantage in end to end supply chain at the same time as driving out cost to invest in growth.
Purpose of Role
To drive Excellence In Supply Chain Planning program, embedding of best practice and capability building, shaping future strategy for planning, delivering strategic change projects, continual performance improvement and efficiency improvement for 'planning' activities across Diageo. Lead Digital Supply Chain Transformation Program. Year on year benefits to be realised through cost reduction, inventory reduction and strategic project delivery
Progress Diageo Global Supply Chain Planning performance in Inv % NSV and sales Forecast
Accuracy towards Leading level (from Progressive)
Be active part of Digital Supply Chain Transformation Program
Develop and embed best practice and capabilities to all in planning activities across supply chain to reduce costs and improve cash and service
Measure and analyse data and determine short, medium and strategic interventions for planning activities across markets to improve performance
Develop and deliver strategic projects adding significant value to business
The Ideal Candidate
Degree educated (Supply Chain Mgt, Engineering)
Experience in supply chain planning and operations management with growing level of responsibilities
An excellent grasp of the commercial implications of broad E-E supply chain strategies
Effectively manages relationships and effectively seeks alignment with senior stakeholders in supply, procurement and country leadership teams and also external suppliers and customers, to achieve great performance outcomes
Very strong understanding of core supply chain planning processes, as well as procurement/manufacturing/distribution/OTC processes
Knowledge and ability to effectively implement 'best in class' supply chain and planning KPI's, 'best in class' plan network design processes and systems
Will have led significant business change through people in a supply chain environment
APICS CPIM or CSCP certification (preferred)
