About the Role:
Exciting new role heading up the full-service events arm of a dynamic & successful drinks portfolio.
Manage delivery of the events channel of the Wisehead Portfolio by integrating planning, strategy, event production and event operations of each event against the agreed business plan and rolling 12-month event operational plan.
This is a senior role within the organisation and requires someone who is a self-starter and has a logical and methodical approach to work. The ability to work with a range of people at all levels is crucial to success in this role.
Driven by existing demand, this is a newly created Event Management role that will see you heading up the full-service events division of this dynamic portfolio.
This is an ideal role for an events manager with experience in the drinks industry with a keen interest in building premium brands. You'll need to be highly organised, comfortable dealing with multiple stakeholders and working in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities will include:
-Be the face of the Wisehead brand and a source of brand knowledge to our extended community, to help with internal & external brand building.
-Build and maintain strong working relationships with agencies, customers and internal stakeholders in order to optimise opportunities to deliver value adding activities and increase product visibility
-Lead and manage each of the events end to end in the events strategy including execution
-Support the Global Team from a local level to deliver 100% brand owned events in GB
-Translate the Global Events plan for local execution and own the planning and execution end to end
-Manage the detail and the planning process to ensure execution excellence according to brand guidelines
-Sourcing suitable venues, with responsibility for logistics including communication with suppliers and external agencies
-Sourcing new opportunities to drive product trial and liquid on lips
-Build relationships with spirit partners to pair the Wisehead portfolio with a range of dark and light spirits
-Lead the social engagement program to consumers and trade customers
-Support trade customers with experiential events in the on and the off trade
-Support the PR agency for logistics and events operations on an AdHoc basis
Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:
-You'll be a dynamic and highly motivated individual with a minimum of 5 years' experience in event management (planning & delivery) and the knowledge of what it takes to build and expand an events' offering and events team
-In-depth knowledge of, passion and a curiosity about the wider Spirits and Mixer category and industry
-Significant experience of working with digital and social networks to drive engagement with influencers and the end consumer.
-Exceptional influencing skills and the ability to build sustainable rapport with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
-High personal impact and integrity

-A champion of new ideas and initiatives with the ability to identify new commercial event opportunities and make them a reality
-Fluent in English essential
-Ability to pair a drink portfolio across occasions, channels, categories and consumers
-You must be used to a face paced client servicing focused environment, have amazing attention to detail, be able to juggle multiple projects at any one time and at the outset be the hands-on delivery person until the new division is fully up and running and further developed (NB you will be only events person at the very beginning)
-You'll already have a broad and varied skill set of end to end event management (including delivery). advising clients, creating bespoke events proposals, building & growing supplier relationships (AV, caterers, florists etc..), negotiation, Thought Leadership & developing internal knowledge of event management across the business, cross-team liaison, establishing processes & systems and stakeholder management (financial services, global corporates, professional services-based clients) as well as the energy, enthusiasm and knowledge to drive forward a new division/company offering
-Open to background - you could have worked agency-side or in-house for a corporate working with a lot of internal clients - but what it important, is that you have experience of working with senior stakeholders within large corporate & have experience of the drinks industry.
-Spirits industry knowledge and experience
-Bar tender experience and or previous event management experience
-Demonstrable understanding of budget management and forecasting.
-Digital and social networks knowledge and experience.
-Experience in leading and motivating people to achieve individual, team and project results.
