This role has specific accountability for the implementation & support of the Global Opex Delivery program for an area in order to ensure consistent & effective application of best practice across manufacturing sites.
This role has functional leadership of Engineering Excellence Management in their area and is accountable for:
Developing an integrated suite of entrepreneurial solutions for supply issues facing supply chain activities.
Developing tools and techniques that assure that the appropriate technologies are utilised to deliver breakthrough supply and manufacturing solutions for beer and spirits to enable the growth agenda.
A key element will be developing supply solutions to support the spirits transformation.
Working with cross functional teams to develop supply proposals that enable speed to market in areas where traditional solutions may not meet the timeline requirements or may not be economic
The role of Project Engineer
To work with Supply Chain Directors, the Global Opex Delivery LT and the business development teams to develop & lead outstanding practices which will deliver breakthrough performance & continuous improvement in support of the business growth agenda.
The role will also be responsible for developing & leading activation plans to ensure:
Monitoring the extent and effectiveness of implementation and operation of the technologies. Developing and applying audit tools and processes.
Creation and Leading an Engineering Excellence collaboration group.
Publishing of reports and analysis of results in order to identify areas of opportunity and best practice, with a view to transferring knowledge across the group.
Developing local capability and organisation effectiveness.
The creation and leadership of a community of technology professionals in order to ensure an integrated and collaborative approach
Buy-in from the General Managers and Supply Chain Directors and roll out the solutions
Develop collaboration across Business Development, Brewing, Packaging, Engineering,
The Ideal Candidate
Experienced professional in Engineering or Brewing within Operations or Central functions
Engineering, Science or Technical Degree essential
Masters Degree in Engineering or Brewing an advantage.
Chartered Status with MBA/MIOSH would also be an advantage.
Demonstrated Leadership in the area of technology strategy to ensure alignment with future needs
In-depth knowledge of brewing/distilling, packaging and supply chain operations.
Demonstrable capability in delivering innovative fit for purpose business solutions
Experience of leading supply input to M&A activities would be an advantage
A high level of experience and skill in the area of capital investment evaluation and approval.
