The role:

As a Public Affairs Manager you will Manage, protect and enhance AB InBev's reputation with stakeholders; protect AB InBev's commercial license to operate; and ensure a fair indirect taxation for AB InBev's business across the Europe Zone territory; with a strong primary focus on the European Union (EU).

Achieve this by co-defining (with Director & Vice President) and managing a rolling EU Public Affairs strategy and leading its implementation.

  • You will co-develop (with Director & Vice President) and co-own an overarching & rolling EU public affairs strategy to support the delivery of the 3-year Europe business plan and the global public affairs strategy, with a focus on indirect taxation, commercial license to operate, alcohol policy & environmental policy and improvement of the corporate reputation

  • You will implement the public affairs strategy at EU level (Council, Commission, Parliament, and other relevant EU bodies) and also oversee & coordinate outreach and strategy implementation in the European Business Units

  • You will strengthen internal relationships with other functions (marketing, sales, finance etc) to help AB InBev pursue focused and effective growth-supportive policies

  • You support the global public affairs team in their outreach to the EU and other relevant global institutions such as the OECD and the WHO

  • You will develop cutting edge approaches to give further impact and visibility to AB InBev's public affairs strategy, and to establish clear thought-leadership among the beer and wider alcohol beverage industry

  • You will participate in a range of EU industry and trade association bodies like the Brewers of Europe to further AB InBev's objectives, and mobilize the alcohol and beer industry for relevant issues

  • You will be strategic adviser to Europe Zone and business unit management and provide ad-hoc support across the business when issues and crises relating to AB InBev's brands and corporate reputation arise.
