About the role
To build a positive Security culture, interfacing with internal and external customers at our Bombay Sapphire Gin Distillery at Laverstoke Mill in Hampshire (post code RG28 7NR).
Working hours are 8am - 5pm Monday-Friday with occasional overtime/weekend work to cover production demand.
Key accountabilities and responsibilities
Be the focal point for controlling all personnel entering Laverstoke Operations facility
Act as the first point of contact, ensuring appropriate personnel are contacted in Emergency situations
Liaising with Emergency Services during emergency situations
Recording Haulier Vehicles Entering/Leaving Site, Marshalling, Directing and Checking Vehicles.
Recording Employees, Visitors & Contractors Entry/Exit to site; carry out employee, contractor and driver site inductions
Identify/report/challenge any breach of site rules
Creation and issue of employee access control ID cards
Patrolling all Bombay Sapphire Property areas, Monitoring CCTV Systems.
Carrying out Vehicle/Personal Searches as Required.
Controlling/Issuing Seals for Containers; Inspection of Containers for Security of Loading.
Management of 'Outsourced' Security Personnel and Companies.
Responsibility for Incident Register and Health & Safety Documentation.
Develop, implement and review of Standard Operating Procedures (Laverstoke).
Control of keys
Maintain responsibility and accountability through personal commitment and behaviour
Maintain behaviour in compliance with EHS requirements
Report any unsafe or environmentally unsound acts and conditions to their immediate Supervisor such that remedial action can be taken to manage the risk
Complete Behavioural Safety Obersvations in line with Bacardi Global requirements
Complete and record regular audits of the Vehicle Arrival/Despatch Log on monthly basis.
Flexibility to provide occasional cover for part time security officer role
Measures of success
Security effectively managed with no major breaches in security arrangements
Ensuring appropriate personnel are contacted in Emergency situations (Incident Controller)
Prompt and effective liaison with Emergency Services during emergency situations
Positive relationships with both internal, contract security staff and external customers
Support a Safety First, Zero Accident and Incident culture
Reviewing Security documentation as required.
Complete one Behavioural Safety Observations per month (12 per year)
Complete six Near Misses across a 12 month period.

Experience of working within bonded premises
Compliance - understanding of HMR&C requirements

Previous supervisory experience would be beneficial
Experience in CCTV operations and systems
