Reporting to the Head of Media & Sustainability your main responsibility will be to focus on brand PR, corporate PR and trade press whilst working closely across the Corporate Affairs team to support integrated communication campaigns. In addition, the role will play an active role in delivering a 24/7 press office function (in collaboration with colleagues across the CA team.)
This is an exciting opportunity for you as you will leverage positive reputation through a steady drumbeat of media coverage across owned, earned, and hybrid (influencer) channels. You will ensure the right balance between digital and traditional media. You will develop and implement engaging PR campaigns to support key HEINEKEN UK brand plans with an increasing focus on Brands with Purpose. Other responsibilities will be to deliver corporate and trade PR campaigns and tell the positive story of beer and cider, collaborating with Global activity and local industry campaigns.
An important part of the role will be to help to drive a digital-first mindset across all CA campaigns and activities - a new way of working for Corporate Affairs, also experience in managing multiple external agencies to deliver on time and in budget and managing a range of internal stakeholder relationships including saying 'no' to senior colleagues where requests do not fit with the CA strategy is essential.
Your previous experience will include leading significant brand PR accounts and managing multiple agencies to deliver agreed objectives. You will have experience dealing with senior journalists, handling incoming media enquiries and will have a comprehensive understanding of copy style, tone of voice, copywriting.
In addition, you will be adept at applying metrics and insight to develop creative content ideas that will deliver effective results. You will also be able to demonstrate proven capability in creating compelling collateral/company assets for both internal and external stakeholders.
