About the role

The role of Talent Search and acquisition has changed greatly in the last 3 years at Bacardi as we moved away from reliance on agencies to a Direct Sourcing Model.

No longer is our role transactional role just filling a vacancy by placing an advert or using an agency, it is so much more. The onus is now on us to proactively find, acquire and assess high caliber talent in the market, not only locally but globally.

We need to constantly push boundaries to find new and innovative ways to gather intelligence to attract the very best talent.

You will be part of the Global BEST team (Bacardi Executive Search Team) tasked with searching and engaging high calibre talent (graduate through to manager level) for a variety of Corporate Office functions. You will manage the full end to end recruitment process from briefing through to on-boarding.

Initially the role will be UK focused, but there is plenty of scope to be involved in other European remits in the future

Key accountabilities and responsibilities

  • Function as a Talent Search expert ensuring all recruitment efforts are aligned with the needs of the organisation.

  • Solve talent challenges by finding creative and innovative ways to attract and select potential candidates (e.g. employee referrals, networking, utilising sources).

  • Use job boards, social media channels, internet sourcing and other means to source candidates for open roles.

  • Present high-quality short lists and consultative narrative to back up reasoning.

  • Manage the end to end recruitment process from initial brief, interview, assessment, offer to on-boarding.

  • Build intelligence, including pipelines of talent for priority roles across multiple functions to ensure ongoing and future organisational talent demands are met.

  • Keep abreast of new talent attraction initiatives - actively research develop and implement (where appropriate).

  • Participate in Global projects (projects could include the use of social media in recruiting, branding, Artificial Intelligence, Analytics, Best in Class MBA/ Graduate/ Intern programmes etc)

  • Be a custodian of best practise recruitment guidelines, equal opportunity and partnership management

  • Provide support to the UK market and build capability wherever possible

  • Assist with the development and implementation of the short- long term recruitment plans (in alignment with global direction) to deliver the hiring needs of the organization while also considering the internal and external employer branding and the overall recruitment experience.

  • Represent Bacardi at recruitment, industry and networking functions.

Critical experiences for success

  • Degree qualified, or equivalent qualification

  • Fluency in another European language would be advantageous

  • Generalist agency/ search firm combined with experience working in a best in class Talent Acquisition function.

  • Experience of hiring for drinks, spirits or consumer goods industry would be highly desirable.

  • Experience of high-volume campaigns.

  • Demonstrated experience recruiting junior to senior level hires.

  • Potential to take on increasingly senior roles within the Bacardi organisation.

  • Proven success leading recruitment searches and meeting/exceeding client and candidate expectations.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to manage and influence multiple senior stakeholders.

  • Knowledge of the latest trends in talent acquisition (candidate sourcing, digital recruitment, assessment tools, applicant tracking systems, etc.

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.

  • Positive and helpful attitude - willing to roll sleeves up and take on administrative tasks as well as consultative work.

  • Able to work autonomously

  • Proactive, determined to succeed and a strong desire to be the best you can.
