Leading wine merchant Liberty Wines has opened the applications for the next round of its its Apprentice scheme

The Apprentice programme, now in its 15th iteration, is a two-year professional experience that touches on all aspects of working for a leading wine distributor.

'Education is a core part of our ethos and the Apprentice programme allows us to develop our own team while also offering an individual the opportunity to gain skills across the company,' said sales director Tom Platt. 'This is as important now as it ever was, and our continued investment reflects our commitment to the future of the industry.'

Furthermore, successful candidates will be offered a fully funded WSET Diploma in Wine and the chance to work two vintages – one in Europe and one in the southern hemisphere.

Recruitment is set to begin on 15 September while the closing date for applications is Friday 9 October 2020. After that date, short-listed candidates will be invited for a first interview.
