Bacardi Brown-Forman enters UK cider market with JD Tennessee

05 April 2017

Bacardi Brown-Forman has chosen the UK to launch its Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Cider.

The 'premium' (5.5% abv) cider is said to be best enjoyed chilled and straight from the bottle. It will be stocked in select bars and restaurants nationwide from 1 May.

'We’re excited to launch Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Cider here in the UK,' Charlotte Ashburner, Brown Forman head of marketing, said.

'There is a great appetite for cider among UK consumers and the launch gives people a new way to enjoy Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey, that has all the bold attitude of Jack, but with the ease and refreshment of a premium cider.

'We are increasingly seeing drink brands outside of the cider category experiment with the traditional boundaries of cider, triggering consumers to think differently about how they drink it. With Summer on the way, it’s the perfect time to go stock up the fridge with this bold new innovation from Jack Daniel’s.'

Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Cider has a recommended retail price of £4.80 in the on-trade.
