Bacardi’s got a new rum for your back bar. The brand has launched Bacardi Coconut, the latest addition to its range of flavoured rums.

Bacardi Coconut is a white rum infused with – you guessed it – coconut flavour, touted for use in Piña Coladas or with tropical mixers such as pineapple juice.

The new product joins two other flavoured rums in the Bacardi portfolio: Spiced, which launched earlier this year, and Ginger, which hit the market in 2018.

‘Sales in the rum category are an all-time high, having surpassed the £1bn mark last year, and this has been largely led by the flavoured rum segment,’ said Tine Van Nevel, European brand director for Bacardi.

‘The response to our previous flavoured offerings has been overwhelmingly positive and we are certain that Bacardi Coconut will be a welcome addition to the ever-growing Carta portfolio.’

Bacardi Coconut is currently available in Asda and will be rolling out to the on-trade in the coming months.

£16/70cl, Bacardi
