On-trade batched cocktail experts, Tails Cocktails, has announced it will be bottling two winning drinks from the Bacardi Legacy Cocktail Competition for the first time. And if you want to try them, they’ll be available at The Rum Kitchen in Soho during this year’s London Cocktail Week (4-13 October). The two cocktails will be from winners of this year’s competition: Thailand's Ronnaporn Kanichaporn, this year’s Global Champion, and Chelsea Bailey, who took the UK crown.
‘Batching finalist cocktails from the Bacardi Legacy competition is a real game-changer,’ said Nick Wall, founder of Tails Cocktails. ‘Since I started the company, it has always been our vision to elevate drinking experiences by making high-quality cocktails more accessible to a broader audience. Batching some of the world’s best rum cocktails brings this vision to life.’
Co-owner of Backstage Cocktail Bar in Thailand, Roonaporn created his cocktail ‘Pink Me Up’ using inspiration from the classic Bloody Mary and mixing of Bacardi Carta Blanca rum, fresh tomato, basil, orgeat syrup, lemon and olive brine.
Meanwhile, Filthy XIII’s Chelsea Bailey created ‘Rum Reverie’ using Bacardi Reserva Ocho rum, cream sherry, apricot liqueur, lemon and orange zest. She’s excited about bringing her creation to the masses: ‘I’m incredibly excited to… batch Rum Reverie for Londoners to try. The drink was made to be enjoyed and I’m so pleased that this one will be available to so many cocktail lovers.’
