After nail-biting regional rounds across the UK, Bacardi has revealed the finalists for its national 2019 Legacy competition.
Four top competitors made waves in the regional heats: Clare Morrow of Vice & Virtue in Leeds, Chelsie Bailey of Filthy XIII in Bristol, Will Meredith of Dandelyan in London and Ken Langenfield of Monteiths in Edinburgh. They will each have the honour of serving up their rum cocktail creations before a panel of esteemed judges at the UK finals in March.
The winner of this national final will go on to compete at the global final in Amsterdam on 14 May, which will gather contestants from a whopping 48 countries – the highest level of participation the competition has ever seen in its 11 years.
As a precursor to the national final in March, the four UK bartenders will visit Puerto Rico and Miami next month to gather inspiration for their serves at the Bacardi distillery.
