Wine and spirit merchant Berry Bros & Rudd has announced the launch of The Classic Range, a collection of blended whiskies that each represent a classic style of scotch.

There will be four in the collection to start with - two geographic blends, in an Islay and a Speyside, and two cask styles in Sherry and Peat.

The quartet has been blended by Berry Bros spirits buyer Doug McIvor and brands heritage director Ronnie Cox.

'The name Berry Bros & Rudd in connection with wine and spirits means liquid in a bottle which exudes ever-trustworthy quality and flavour,' said Cox. 'It was with these values that Dougie and I assembled this range – a hugely enjoyable task.

'The result is a variety of top-quality blended malts, not only delivering what they say on the label, but a go-to portfolio to suit a variety of palates and moods.'

Berry Bros has announced that the range will likely be added to in future, creating blends that are the epitome of 'different flavours and finishes' found in scotch.
