Suffolk-based low-abv brewery Big Drop has launched four new products in collaboration with beer expert Melissa Cole and four leading UK craft brewers.

The beers, which will launch in November as the first in a world collab series, include Jam Session Raspberry Gose, Lil IPL India Pale Lager, Going Swimmingly Hibiscus Saison and Big River Black IPA. The brewers are, respectively, Fyne Ales, Salt, Harbour Brewing Co and Fourpure.

The four craft operators joined Big Drop master brewer Johnny Clayton and Cole at a brewing day in London to share knowledge and to create beers of 0.5% abv without the use of artificial extraction of alcohol, vacuum distillation or reverse osmosis.

‘We’re excited to, not only, be collaborating with a range of craft brewers here in the UK but we are planning a series of these projects to work with brewers from around the world,’ said Big Drop co-founder Rob Fink. ‘Big Drop has recently launched in Canada, Sweden and Norway so on our visits we’ve been in talks with some incredible brewers in those countries.’
