BlackTail bound for Bloomsbury – the takeover and London Session

You're in luck, as BlackTail is heading to Bloomsbury this February, taking over the seductive Bloomsbury Club Bar for three days.

From the team behind World's Best Bar The Dead Rabbit, BlackTail will kick off their takeover on Thursday 9 February with a menu curated by bar manager Jesse Vida, of Booker & Dax, Dutch Kills and The Dead Rabbit itself. Inspired by the American bars in Havana during the US Prohibition, the bar was opened last August by Sean Muldoon and Jack McGarry.

The menu for the takeover will feature four of BlackTail's most in-demand drinks - including a take on a rum and coke - as well as sprinkling some BlackTail magic on some Bloomsbury Club creations.

With so many drinks to plough your way through, a Cuban-inspired food menu is on hand. Think rabbit Cuban sandwiches (all to a Cuban jazz soundtrack).

'I am delighted to be continuing to host the world's best bars as part our Club Residencies Project,' said bar manager Brian Calleja. 'BlackTail serve some of the best cocktails in the USA, which makes them the perfect partner for The Bloomsbury Club Bar.'

The takeover is the second from the bar's Club Residencies Project, which debuted with Athens' The Clumsies in November last year.

The Bloomsbury Club Bar will also play host to this year's first London Sessions event, with both Vida and founder Rebekkah Dooley in town. This will take place at the bar on 9 February at 1pm and, in Sessions style, feature leading industry speakers including tequila ambassador Tomas Estes.
