Bloom Gin releases limited-edition Strawberry Cup

20 June 2017

With English summer in full swing, it couldn't be a better time for Bloom Gin's new release, a limited-edition Strawberry Cup.

Naturally our favourite summer fruit, the ruby red spirit is a infusion of rich jammy strawberry flavourings and, of course, Bloom London Dry Gin. If we didn't have you at strawberry, the new spirit is produced in small batches and has been created by none other than master distiller Joanne Moore.

Inspired by Bloom Gin’s signature serve of a G&T with quartered strawberries, Moore combined fresh strawberries with the floral gin, giving a strawberry-coloured spirit which can be drunk with lemonade, ginger ale or used as an ingredient in cocktails.

Bloom suggests serving the Strawberry Cup as a pitcher: pour half a bottle into a two pint jugs filled with ice, top with lemonade or soda and add quartered strawberries and citrus wheels.

'Bloom, Strawberry Cup is rich clear red colour, with a strawberry aroma up front on the nose,' said master distiller, Joanne Moore.

'On the palette, a slight zingy taste from macerated strawberries which opens up on the mouth-feel to allow the softness of Bloom London Dry Gin to come through.'
