For those hospitality workers keen to continue exploring the world of spirits and food pairings now have a new tool in their arsenal with the launch of a new food and cognac pairing app.

The free application has been developed by the Bureau National Interprofessional du Cognac (BNIC) in partnership with French restaurant guide Gault & Millaut, with 45 chefs and sommeliers from around the world brought together to decide upon the pairings.

Available for free on Apple and Android phones, it offers information on the best pairings between different flavour profiles and cognac styles, breaking them down into frozen VS, VS, VSOP and XO.

There’s also information on the production of cognac, a news feed and a quiz, just to check that your cognac knowledge is in tip-top condition. And why wouldn’t it be, with such an app on your phone to help guide you?

You can download the Apple version here and the Android version here.
