After a successful cocktail-fueled weekend last year, Cambridge Cocktail Weekend is back, taking over the historic city this August bank holiday weekend.
Last year the festival saw 2,000 people come and celebrate, with a Corn Exchange packed with bars, cocktails, fun and music. And this year the event promises to be bigger and better.
Over the three days the city will see over 50 cocktails on offer from more than 10 bars. Local bars include Hidden Rooms, Novi, La Raza and Ta Bouche. Branded bars include Diageo World Class (Ketel One, Bulleit Bourbon and Tanqueray No 10), Belvedere Vodka – selling low cal Spritz cocktails – and Monkey Shoulder with its Disco Tea Trolley. Pinkster Gin and Cranes Liquors will also run bars.
'Cocktails are in high demand again, and it’s an exciting time for the industry and for customers,' said Charlie Anderson, one of the organisers of Cambridge Cocktail Weekend. 'There is a great appetite to try new things, for new types of cocktails, for craft and artisan spirits, and for knowledge about provenance and ingredients. We are excited to see the event evolve, and offer customers not only a great mix of bars, music, and street food, but also access to their favourite brands, and the opportunity to learn about taste and experience some fabulous new cocktails.'
