Edinburgh's Panda & Sons, New York City's Dante, and Rome's Drink Kong have partnered with Campari to create at-home experience
Guests of the virtual events will have the chance to meet the bartenders (Linden Pride, Dante; Iain McPherson, Panda & Sons; Patrick Pistolesi, Drink King), enjoy two pre-made cocktails from the bars' menus and get the chance to make a Negroni themselves at home.
There will also be accompanying entertainment, including a performance by Dante's jazz band, a ritualistic journey of taste and sound from Drink King, and a circus performer at Panda & Sons.
All proceeds with go to Campari UK's Shaken Not Broken fund, in partnership with The Drinks Trust and TiPJAR, supporting furloughed hospitality staff during the coronavirus pandemic.
'Although we can’t, yet, open the doors in real life, this is the next best thing to being there,' said Nick Williamson, marketing director at Campari UK. 'It’s an honour to be partnering with bars of the calibre of Dante, Drink Kong and Panda & Sons. The way these venues have come together to help support staff at local bars across the country is testament to the community spirit that exists in the hospitality industry.'
Tickets cost £20 per person and will include the ingredients to make a classic Campari cocktail, and the two bespoke pre-made cocktails.
There are eight places per slot, meaning guests will also have the chance to interact with their host and going some way to recreate the bar experience.
Dates are as follows:
- Dante: 12-13 June
- Drink Kong: 18-20 June
- Panda & Sons: 25-27 June
