Restaurant group The Cinnamon Collection is to add two new sites by the end of 2017, including its first opening outside of London.
The new sites will be in the new Westgate centre in Oxford this October, and one in the Battersea Power Station development in November.
The company has promoted several existing team members to support the additional sites. The appointments include former head chef of The Cinnamon Club Rakesh Ravindran Nair, who has been with the group since 2002, taking on the new role of group development and training chef.
Hari Nagaraj, who has also been with the team for 20 years, will become the group operations manager, having previously worked as head chef at The Cinnamon Club.
'The Cinnamon Collection is fortunate to have so many team members that have been with us for years and have grown with the group through several positions,' executive chef Vivek Singh said.
'Our people have been our biggest asset and it's only through continuous learning and development that it's been possible. The career progression of our teams is something we’re immensely proud of and it's a commitment we extend to all our people who join us in our next phase of growth.'
Sites in the group include The Cinnamon Club, Cinnamon Kitchen, Cinnamon Soho and Cinnamon Bazaar (pictured). In January 2016, the company was acquired by Harry Ramsden’s boss Ranjit Singh Boparan. The cocktail list at Cinnamon Bazaar in Covent Garden was developed by a certain Ryan Chetiyawardana.
