Crabbie's launches light ginger beer

Ginger beer aficionados at the ready – Crabbie's has expanded its range with a new lighter option.

The Light Alcoholic Ginger Beer is still made by steeping ginger for six weeks in the liquid, but only contains half of the ginger of the original one - it's 'light' in terms of the strength of the ginger flavour. The abv is lower as well though, at 2.8% instead of the original 4%.

Richard Clark, of Halewood International, the drinks manufacturer that owns Crabbie's, said this aims to offer a more refreshing ginger beer to punters.

It's launching in the on-trade with a big marketing campaign behind it, which includes POS material, along with TV and digital campaigns.

£1.49/330ml; 2.29/500ml, Halewood International, 0151 480 8800
