About Croatian Wine Club

The Croatian Wine Club was incorporated in 2017 as a registered importer of fine Croatian wines. We are proud to supply our wine selection of top-quality wines to the wine trade, restaurants, wine bars, hotels, private clubs and UK consumers.

As a company we set out to offer a complete experience of Croatia, their wine and culture. We offer bespoke wine tasting events in the UK and wine tours to vineyards of Eastern Croatia.

Our wine collection is extensive. A small selection is available on our website, but we offer more choice including own label and table wines.

The company is owned by Mikki Hall. Originally from Croatia, Mikki came to the UK at aged 19 and embarked on her career in the UK by completing a Masters in Marketing, a degree in Business & Finance and a WSET level 2 qualification in wines and spirits. Prior to starting the company, she was the Global Marketing Director for an international company.

Feravino Frankovka Miraz
Gold Medal Winner at 2019 Sommelier Awards and Silver Medal Winner at 2019 Decanter Awards

Frankovka is a red grape, quite resistant to cold during the winter, but still needs a lot of sun in the summer, so it’s ideal for the region of Central Europe. In Croatia, it’s traditionally grown in Slavonija, producing lively, fruity, sometimes peppery reds. Miraz Frankovka is a wine to enjoy at your leisure. A rich ruby, almost purple in colour with an intense flavour which is long lasting and clean. A bouquet of vanilla, pepper and dark chocolate, oak aged and noticeable in the later flavour as a fine spice. Ready to drink young, with good potential for ageing.

Ideal companion for cured dried meat and spicy sausage, stews, game, roast lamb, steak and strong cheeses.

Wine with a protected designation of origin (PDO): Slavonija

What the judges said,2019 SWA:
The ‘interesting, spicy, smoky nose’ of this Gold winner caught the attention of team leader Hamish Anderson, who went on to describe ‘tart cherry and grilled-meat notes, as well as some dark plum, leading to a grippy, savoury finish, making this a great option for barbecues’. Fellow team leader Carlos Ferreira was similarly impressed, describing it as ‘very well made, with black and red fruit joined by notes of spice, leather and pine’.

Feravino Graševina Miraz
Silver medal winner at 2019 Decanter Awards and Sommelier Awards. International Wine Challenge 2019 Bronze Winner

Miraz Graševina is a blend of knowledge, skill and top-quality grapes. This exquisite wine deserves special attention and selection by wine buyers who know how to appreciate the top-quality product.

In the glass, this wine wins with its crystal clear appearance with a gentle greenish yellow colour. Its uniqueness comes from its varietal aromas, pronounced fruitiness, creaminess and pleasant acidity.

Miraz Graševina is a wine of rich body and fullness of taste. On the palate, the richness of the scent is replaced by a rich aroma, warm with a creamy finish. Ready to drink young, with good potential for ageing.

Miraz Graševina is a perfect paring for a wide range of meats from poultry and white meat, to creamy sauces and pasta dishes. It is also a good choice with fish and seafood.

Wine with a protected designation of origin (PDO): Slavonija
