Pre-mix cocktail specialist Tipplesworth has been acquired by drinks behemoth Diageo. The partnership will see the expansion of the company’s draft cocktail technology across the on-trade in Great Britain.

‘The acquisition of Tipplesworth brings another great innovation into our portfolio,’ said Melissa Wisdom, commercial direction of Diageo GB – On Trade. ‘The increasing popularity of cocktails in Great Britain is one of the trends driving spirits growth and this acquisition means we can now bring great quality “on tap” cocktails to consumers in the on-trade across the country.’

Tipplesworth’s liquid technology already allows high-quality pre-mixed cocktails to be served at speed, consistently and at a large scale in the on-trade – its Espresso Martini and Passion Fruit Martini are already available on tap in around 100 outlets across Great Britain.

As part of the partnership, Tipplesworth founder and mixologist Frankie Snobel, who developed the liquid technology, will join the Diageo GB team. ‘I’m thrilled to be joining Diageo,’ said Snobel. ‘There couldn't be a better place for us to continue growing the draft cocktail business to the next level. Cheers to the exciting times ahead!’
