Dirty Martini's Tommy Cole wins Cocktails on Ice comp

Top spot in today's Ice-O-Matic Cocktails on Ice comp final went to Dirty Martini's Tommy Cole, earning himself an all-expenses trip to Sweden's IceHotel.

The comp challenged contestants to present a cocktail that made innovative use of ice, and Cole's easily succeeded. His ice contained Butterfly Pea flowers, causing the drink to change colour as the acidity changes, and Miracle Berry, which affects drinkers' perception of sweet and savoury flavours. To top it off, his ice was frozen into his glassware at an angle, for striking visual effect.

His drink was entitled Stockholm Syndrome. 'Judges, I'm not going to kidnap you, but will hopefully capture your imagination...'
