Premium tonic and mixer brand Double Dutch has upped its portfolio with the addition of its new Cocktail Soda range
The range comprises two expressions: Bloody Mary Soda and the Cucumber Margarita Soda with Chilli.
The brand claims that its Cocktail Sodas have been created ‘using the process of molecular gastronomy’, by using the ingredients found in classic cocktails and using them ‘to develop a range of longer, lighter drinks in for the form of cocktail sodas’.
Double Dutch suggests that the drinks can be either mixed with spirits for a quick serve or drank straight as a no-abv alternative to a full-proof cocktail.
The Bloody Mary Soda is made with tomato, basil, cucumber, pepper, chilli, and ‘a hint’ of brandy vinegar, and it’s advised it should be mixed with vodka.
Meanwhile, the Cucumber Margarita Soda with Chilli has flavours of cucumber, Persian lime, bell pepper and chilli, and is suggested to be mixed with tequila, ‘served in a salt-rimmed Martini glass’.
