Fowey Valley Cider launches Castledore

07 March 2017

The sun has started shining, so that means we should start talking cider, right? Known for its award-winning and on-trend champagne-style cider, Fowey Valley has launched Castledore.

Made from those famous West Country sharp and sweet apples with a 'clean and crisp taste', Castledore is just in time for the warmer months. The lightly sparkling, fresh medium-dry cider is described as 'well-balanced' and 'pairs well with food'. Castledore comes in at a just-sessionable 6.5% abv.

The cider is made using traditional, local cider-making methods and apples from orchards within just a 40-mile radius from the apple press.

Fun fact, the name 'Castledore' was taken from the Iron Age fort Castle Dore which stands just a few hundred metres from the Fowey Valley orchard. Go on, your fridges – and punters – are calling out for it...
