The Tapsters 2019 Final
12pm, Monday 1 July, Centre Stage
Following a rousing semi-final earlier this month, the teams from Brewhouse & Kitchen and New World Trading Co will compete to see which is the best beer and cider team in the land – and to win a trip to Austria to visit the Stiegl brewery. With challenges including blind tasting, food matching and cider throwing, things are bound to get more than a little wild.
The Great Aussie Taste-Off

Aussie wine is getting in on the competitive action, too: In this food-matching challenge, Sam Caporn MW and Clement Robert MS present Australian wines to pair with the stellar dishes cooked up by Roger Jones of The Harrow at Little Bedwyn. Will MS or MW rule the day? You’ll just have to try the pairings for yourself…
Bartenders v Sommeliers 2019 Final: Settling the Tab
3pm, Monday 1 July, Centre Stage
It’s the 11th and final year of BvS, and the bartender and sommelier teams are tied 5:5. Which profession will win the comp – and the bragging rights – once and for all? We’ll find out – but not before we witness champagne cascades, punch making and some smack-talking by drinks professionals wearing tiki shirts.
Licor 43 Bartender & Barista Team-Up 2019 Final
11.15am, Tuesday 2 July, Cocktail Lounge
Bartenders and baristas have paired up to make the ultimate coffee cocktail using Licor 43 during a series of semi-final heats across the UK. At Imbibe Live, the finalists will present their creations to see which will rule the day. The winning team gets a trip to the global final in Gran Canaria, so we expect tension – and caffeine levels – to be running high.
Beer v Cider Smackdown
1.30pm, Tuesday 2 July, Chef’s Table
It’s the stuff of legends: beer ambassador Mitch Adams and cider ambassador Tom Oliver are squaring off to determine which category representative can find the best food match of the year. Pairing their drinks of choice with the culinary creations of MasterChef winner Tim Anderson of Nanban in Brixton, it’s sure to be a heated battle.
Shakes & the City 2019 Final

Over the past few months, we’ve travelled the nation hosting semi-final heats to see which four cities are in the running for the title of cocktail capital of the UK. Teams Dundee, Leeds, Birmingham and Bristol will face off, crafting serves inspired by their respective cities. Come along and support your favourites!
