Merchant Graft Wine Company has opened the doors to its digital portfolio tasting

With large gatherings prohibited as a response to the coronavirus pandemic, London merchant Graft Wine Company shifted online for its annual portfolio tasting.

This year's innovative, online format will be running for nearly a month, until 30 September.

Once registered, buyers are given access to the virtual portfolio, where they can familiarise themselves with the wines by reading descriptions, downloading tech sheets, or watching videos (thanks to company co-founder, Nik Darlington, who’s recorded a number of video reviews to enrich the virtual experience).

Interested buyers can also attend online tastings and masterclasses with winemakers, which Graft will be running throughout September until the end of the virtual event.

‘A lot of work has gone into trying something a bit creative and different when events aren’t possible,’ commented Darlington on Twitter following the launch.

Ultimately, attendants can request to be sent samples to try at home in their own time, although the merchant asks that numbers are kept within the limits of six bottles per person.

Buyers who like to take part need to register here.
