Green Times Brewing launches low-alcohol CBD IPA

25 November 2019

Manchester’s Green Times Brewing has added a 0.5% abv IPA to its range of CBD beers.

The new product, Low-Alcohol IPA with Cannabis oil, contains 10mg of CBD per 330ml can and the brewer said the release has been scheduled to cater for designated drivers during the festive season.

Green Times has also released a ‘new and improved vegan and gluten-free recipe’ for its Session IPA. The launches follow last year’s release of session IPA High Flyer. The product is now also packaged in cans.

Green Times Brewing managing director Thierry Florrit said: ‘As research into CBD continues, there is more science to suggest the value of mixing CBD with alcohol - it’s possible that by boosting liver function CBD can help the liver process alcohol more effectively, thus reducing hangovers. CBD and cannabis also have well-researched anti-inflammatory effects and as the CBD formulation is water-soluble it will be processed by the body much more effectively.’

The company changed its name from Cloud Nine Brewing to Green Times Brewing last year.
