Surrey-based Hogs Back Brewery has expanded its line-up by adding a new East Coast IPA
The new beer clocks in at 5.8% abv and is available in keg and 330ml cans. The brewery claims it's designed to help drive sales of the entire Hogs Back range as pubs reopen from 4 July onward.
The beer is packaged unfiltered so is naturally hazy, as per style. It’s said to have an ‘intense mouthfeel and hop aroma, [which] give it an authentic US craft beer character’.
‘[This] US style of IPA is hugely popular, making East Coast IPA a strong addition to our craft line-up, with a very different taste profile to our Hog IPA,’ commented Rupert Thompson, owner of Hogs Back Brewery.
The new East Coast IPA was brewed by using Pale, Munich, Wheat and Golden Oats malts and seven different hops: Cascade (from the brewery’s own hop garden), Fuggles, Ekuanot, Calypso, Mosaic, Idaho 7 and Mount Hood.
