Online menswear retailer Jacamo is to open a pub in London for one day only, as it looks to encourage men to get ‘down the pub’ to talk about the issues they face.
The concept, called the Jacamo Arm-in-Arms, will be open on 27 November. The idea came about after research by Jacamo found that men are most likely to meet their friends at the pub (58%), but a quarter of them don’t feel comfortable talking about their feelings.
The pub will play host to panel discussions, including ‘A New Age of Men’ at 2pm, self-image and body confidence at 4pm and a look at the perception of men being tough at 6:30pm.
Each panel will include familiar faces, fashion industry representatives as well as experts within mental health. Special guests include Freddie Flintoff and Luke Campbell MBE.
‘Men can visit the Jacamo Arm-in-Arms throughout the day where they’ll be able to grab a drink on the house, listen to live music, get a free trim from the resident barber and speak to a celebrity stylist for some Autumn/Winter style and fit advice,’ Jacamo said.
